IBV & Cie s.a.
Planning and execution of the second extension of the existing IBV&Cie site, including :
- Increase in the production capacity of the wood pellet production unit from initially 150,000 tonnes/year to 300,000 tonnes/year
Project currently in progress
The market for pellets (wood granulates) emerged at the beginning of the 1990s in Europe. Since then the market has been on a steep upswing.
IBV&Cie in Vielsalm aims to assume the position of an important manufacturer on the wood pellet market. On account of W.T.T.’s profound experience in the sector and IBV&Cie’s trust in W.T.T. - following the successful project to extend its sawmill from 2006 to 2008 - W.T.T. was once again commissioned with the planning, the coordination of the construction engineering and the supervision of the construction of the extension to the pellet production.
This extension covers the complete flow of material, from the preparation of the incoming wood and the drying/pressing to the bagging and the loading logistics of the final products.
IBV&Cie’s industrial pellet production unit thus represents the largest production unit in Belgium, with an annual production capacity that will reach 300,000 tonnes after the extension.
